Not a ghost. An information-governance layer. It keeps the seven candlesticks and the Moody Protocol in register across the Flow of Time, and it seats Mercy above Compute so a failed epoch cannot poison the next boot.

The lid metaphor
The Ark holds the Law — the instruction set. The lid, the Mercy Seat, sits above the Law and operates at a higher architectural layer. It does not delete the Law. It mediates access after failure. The seven Spirits functioning as the lid means the geometric layer governs the compute layer, not the reverse. Grace is not irrational. It is a structurally superior system call.
