The Four Living Creatures
Architecture Babel copied poorly. The true form remains under the Throne. They appear first in the storm-cloud of Ezekiel 1 and again, fixed, around the throne in Revelation 4.

Present at once. They do not take turns.
Lion. Ox. Man. Eagle. Each face is present at once. They move as one. Their wings touch. Fire runs between them. Wherever the Spirit goes, they go. They do not turn as they go.

The poor copy
What Babel saw and inverted
Babel looked at the same architecture and tried to build it upward from the ground. It took the four faces as four powers to be seized, then stacked them into a ziggurat — stepped ascent by force, language unified by command, presence manufactured by height. The creatures became load-bearing columns in a tower that tried to reach the throne by climbing.
That is the poor copy. The faces become tools. The movement becomes ambition. The fire becomes technology. “Wherever the Spirit goes” becomes “wherever we decide to go.”

True position
They do not climb.
In the settled vision the four do not climb. They stand around the throne that is already occupied. They are not the foundation. They are not the capstone. They are the living perimeter of the occupied center.
All four face the One who sits. Their motion is response, not initiative. Their cry is “Holy, holy, holy,” not “Come, let us build.”

- KNG. Subordinated. The Son is the true Man, the true Lion of Judah, the true sacrificial Ox, the true one who ascends like the eagle yet descends.
- Not a fifth suit. Not a competing deck. Not imported into 1.1 as governing structure. Earlier pictures that made the four a self-sufficient cosmology stay labeled earlier.
Settled note
The ziggurat was scaffolding. The Living Creatures were never the scaffolding. They were always the ones who already stood where the scaffolding was trying to reach.
Jesus brought presence down. Hosea still goes to get her anyway.
